Veridian Sight – VOL. 4: Beyond Human Design

Chapter 3: Echoes of Chimera, Whispers of the Kryll

The abandoned facility hummed with a renewed sense of purpose. While Brody and Kai continued to fortify their position, Sarah and Aris delved deeper into the mysteries at hand.

Sarah, fueled by caffeine and a growing unease, stared at the holographic display, the fragmented Project Chimera data swirling around her. She had been cross-referencing land surveys of the area near the target coordinates with personnel files and experiment logs. The name “Thorne” kept appearing, linked to a series of early experiments involving the integration of alien biological material. One log, partially corrupted but still legible, described a “Subject T,” exhibiting unusual energy manipulation abilities. The location of Subject T’s initial containment? A facility in the same wooded area as the target coordinates. A cold dread settled in her stomach. Was the Kryll’s target not a place, but a person? Could Subject T still be alive, a hidden variable in the Chimera equation?

Meanwhile, in his cluttered workshop, Aris experienced a breakthrough. After countless hours of trial and error, he managed to isolate a specific frequency emitted by the Kryll probe. It wasn’t a language, as they initially suspected, but a series of complex geometric patterns. Using his understanding of advanced mathematics and the limited information they had on the Kryll’s technology, he began to translate the patterns. The probe wasn’t just observing; it was transmitting data, perhaps to a larger network. And the data pointed to a series of locations, not just Clover Creek. One of those locations was a remote area in New Mexico, near the town of Dulce, a place infamous for rumors of a secret underground base and alleged alien activity. Another location was near Roswell, New Mexico, the site of the infamous 1947 UFO crash. Were these coincidences? Or were the Kryll connected to humanity’s long-standing fascination with extraterrestrial life?

The pieces were starting to fall into place, but the picture they formed was terrifying. Project Chimera, with its human-alien hybrids and experiments, seemed to be directly linked to the Kryll’s interest in Earth. And the target near Clover Creek might be just one piece of a much larger, more sinister puzzle.
