Statement of Assumption and Codification of Arms

The Garland Family Crest

To All Whom These Presents May Come, Know Ye:

I, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Stanley (F.) Garland, D.Div. (Hon.), Proprietor of The Stanley Garland Citizen and The Stanley Garland Ministry, and Ecclesiastical Authority, do hereby formally assume, codify, and declare my right to bear and display the following achievement of arms, effective this day, November 27, 2025.

I. The Shield and Blazon

The arms are rendered as:

Quarterly, first Argent a Lion Rampant Gules; second Gules a Dove volant Argent; third Argent a Dolphin Naiant Sable; fourth Gules three Mountain Peaks Vert.

II. External Ornaments

The Shield is surmounted by:

The Ecclesiastical Crown, denoting the holder’s status as a Right Reverend Doctor and Ecclesiastical Authority. This crown, combined with the open book bearing a cross on the helm, signifies the legal and spiritual jurisdiction vested in the bearer.

III. The Motto

The motto is displayed beneath the shield on a scroll:

Veritas Supra Ambitum

Meaning: Truth Above Ambition. This principle serves as the moral foundation and guiding ethic for all endeavors undertaken by the bearer, particularly in the fields of media, journalism, and ministry.

IV. Establishment and Transmission of Arms

Declaration of Origin: These Armorial Bearings are New Arms of Assumption and are formally declared to have originated with the undersigned, Prop. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Stanley (F.) Garland, D.Div. (Hon.), and with no other prior bearer.

Rules of Descent (Inheritance): The right to bear these Arms shall transmit in perpetuity:

  1. To the legal and legitimate children of the primary bearer, in order of primogeniture (firstborn), male or female, as is customary in modern heraldic practice.
  2. To the descendants of those children, following the same rule of descent.
  3. Any holder of the arms may, by explicit written designation, name a successor from a younger line of the Garland bloodline should the senior line fail or cease to actively employ the arms.
