Preamble: Basis of Authority and Calling
This Ministry is hereby established as a perpetual, sovereign, non-denominational, and inter-ecclesiastical organization. - Ordination as The Right Reverend Doctor Dudeist Priest through The Church of The Latter-Day Dude.
- Ordinations through American Marriage Ministries, Universal Life Church, Open Ministry, The Provenance Center for Ordination, and Spiritual Humanism.
- The conferral of multiple Honorary Doctoral and Master’s Degrees in Ministry Science, Comedic Science, Economicals, and Psychemistry from Abide University.

This Covenant serves as the consolidation of all such authorities, dedicating the Ministry’s existence to the pursuit, application, and certification of truth and excellence across the disciplines of media, technology, finance, and philosophy.
Article I: Core Doctrinal Mandates
The Ministry’s doctrines are mandated by the following principles, which serve as the ethical and intellectual framework for the Ecclesiastical Standard for Media and Ethical Rigor (ESMER):
Section 1.01: The Mandate of Abiding and Ethical Non-Aggression
We affirm adherence to the core principle of non-aggression, ethical patience, and the recognition of inherent value in all beings. We strive to achieve and maintain a state of spiritual and professional “Abiding,” ensuring the minimization of harm in all creative and commercial undertakings.
Section 1.02: The Mandate of Cognitive Inquiry
We hold that intellectual rigor and the study of human behavior, societal dynamics, and philosophy are critical spiritual pursuits. We mandate the application of diligent psychological assessment and cognitive due diligence to achieve enhanced ethical foresight and insightful evaluation of professional intentions in all endeavors.
Section 1.03: The Mandate of Comedic Science
We believe in the power of Comedic Science to expose hypocrisy, illuminate truth, and provide essential social and philosophical commentary. This Mandate establishes critical analysis and witty scrutiny as vital tools for journalistic, creative, and ethical assessment.
Section 1.04: The Mandate of Economicals and Ethical Unionism
We recognize that prudent management of resources and financial ethics are inseparable from spiritual duty. This Mandate requires transparent, responsible, and supportive practices, including the explicit acknowledgment and support of unionized labor where applicable
Article II: Ecclesiastical Mission and Scope
Section 2.01: Mission of Integration
The paramount mission is the functional integration of these Doctrinal Mandates into the professional world through formalized structure, thereby providing a robust, non-governmental measure of integrity.
Section 2.02: Focus on Media and Certification
Recognizing the Ecclesiastical Authority’s expertise, a core mission shall be the application of aesthetic, technical, and ethical standards to visual and written media, specifically through the certification services provided by the Office of Certification.
Section 2.03: Defense of Authority
The Ministry shall defend the use of its titles and the validity of its ordinations and academic honors, asserting the right to self-govern its internal structure and pronouncements as protected by constitutional law.
Section 2.04: The Mandate of Ordination and Perpetuity
The Ministry asserts the divine and ecclesiastical right to ordain, commission, and empower qualified individuals to serve as Ministers of Ecclesiastical Integrity (MEI). This Mandate serves two essential functions:
- Perpetuity: To ensure the perpetual existence and function of the Ministry and its core mission, thereby establishing a formal line of Ministerial succession and expansion.
- Doctrinal Fidelity: To require all ordained clergy to demonstrate a profound commitment to integrating the Mandate of Abiding and Ethical Non-Aggression and the Mandate of Cognitive Inquiry into their professional and personal lives, making ethical rigor a condition of clerical standing.
